usain bolt
! asked:

My friends always tell me “hey don’t you think usain bolt could be one of the best recievers if he was in the NFL?”

I always say no because not all track guys are football players. He would be down and out after two hits. Sure he’s fast but if he can’t catch or take hits, how can he be one of the best recievers?

what else can I tell these people at school?

    footballs not like track……

  2. Steve the Football man,LETS GO BLUE! says:

Hes never played the game before first off so it would be just about impossible for him to make it. He would have to learn A LOT about the game and it would be too hard esp if he never played before. He wouldn’t be able to take the hits after a few he wouldn’t be able to play again.Has he ever even played catch or even caught a Football before? Hes very fast but just because your very fast doesn’t mean you will make it in the NFL… Your friends must think its really easy

how do you know he cant catch or take hits? hes probably never even played football before

  4. Conti says:

Renaldo Nehemiah was the world’s greatest sprint hurdler ( 110m hurdles ) from 1978-1981 . For money he signed for the SF 49ers for the 1982-85 sesons .

4 touchdowns in this period would say that track history is no predictor for NFL greatness.

Sadly Usain Bolt might be the same .

  5. David says:

I agree you need good hands and you need to take a hit to be a good reciever in the nfl you need more than speed

  6. Bill78 says:

I really don’t think he would. What makes anyone think he can catch, block, take a hit or learn a playbook with no prior football experience?

With charts and slide shows and stuff.

He’s known world wide ,Playing in the NFL would be a step down!

  9. NY SPORTS FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! says:

If they may not agree with you whether he may be a good football player if he ever played, but the best way to explain it is that he simply wont play because it isn’t worth the money. He is making millions doing track. The man has a natural god given ability and he obviously trained but all he does is line up for a sprint and run. He gets paid millions. People sponsor him as the fastest man in the world. This is an impressive title. Now if he played football, yes he might get payed more, but it wont be worth it.

What is better getting paid 50 million sprinting or 60 million playing at RB or WR and getting hit on every play?

  10. Jason says:

Very easy. He is not a football player

bob hayes of the dallas cowboys is the only person to have a super bowl ring and a Olympic gold medal for track and field. . not very many track guys in the nfl.
