New Years Poster

Lundgren+Lindqvist posted a photo: New Years Poster 08 summarizing the the past year in terms of events, catastrophies, films, top brands (according to publicity and sales), artists, trends, new gadgets, influential persons etc. All of the 114 different illustrations were hand drawn and include: Sarah Palin (as the hockey mom), Heath Ledger (RIP), Michael Phelps (8 gold medals, Beijing olympics), Universal Studios (on fire – literally speaking), Vladimir Putin (resigning), Helvetica (the worlds most famous typeface celebrating 50 years), Lehman Brothers (going down the drain), Isaac Hayes (as Chef, RIP), Mortage Crisis, Usain Bolt, Elmo (top selling toy christmas ‘08) to name a few. We chose the champagne bottle as an appropriate symbol for the New Years Eve celebration.
