As of now, he is the fastest man in the world. But to be honest, if Gay were 100% he would give him a run for his money. Gay was a very respectable 9.71, the 3rd fastest time ever run. He had pulled his groin muscle 2 months ago and was not able to get out of the blocks as fast was he could. I'm sure he'll do the 200, but he won't be 100%. And Tyson Gay isn't trying to save face or anything like that. He's not that way. Anyone will tell you he's one of those class act athletes and all-around good guys. He's been plagued with some unfortunate injuries. So I'm waiting for the London Olympics in 2012 for the really big show. Hopefully by then, Gay will be at 100%. Or maybe the worlds in South Korea in 2011. It's a shame he had to have this injury now. If he hadn't, I think the race today would have been a nail-bitter. Epic. While Bolt is electrifying, some are put-off by his showmanship and think he is cocky. I for one think he's just very confident (and he has every reason to be). I don't think he's trying to be a jerk. I think he's just young, and out there because he loves to run and is having a blast while doing it. Maybe he just doesn't realize that others may interpret what he does in a negative light. I think it's good for the sport and will bring more much needed attention.
