ur suppose to run on the ball of ur foot because when u run on ur toes ur breaking but when u run on the ball of the foot u roll onto ur toes moving your momentum forward

  2. ArnarStyr says:

I think you should be on your toes when you sprint

  3. imnislander2 says:

like on your toes. but not to the point where your breaking them..like ur standing on ur tip toes when you run. theres a girl that my coach calls twinkle toes cuz she runs on the balls of her feet so well

  4. BIueLettuce says:

i use cycle motion on long jump :3 it imrpoved my jump by 2 feet T_T

  5. LeeeSeann says:

AHHHH! Okay, I might go train later today then. Thx so much!

  6. cAliKidd2468 says:

okay you have a heel and ball part of the foot. actually you want to roll off of the heel onto the ball of the foot. HEEL=back of foot & BALL=front of foot right underneath toes. The motion should be so swift that you don’t realize you are stepping on your heel first..and yes god form with arms tucked is a must in races under 30 sec.

  7. LeeeSeann says:

Ohh. Thanks a lot man. But what do you mean balls of your feet? Everything else makes sense, and I’ll keep it in mind. :)

  8. imnislander2 says:

u wanna be on the balls of ur feet. dont wanna be flat footed. get a good pair of spikes if u can afford it, keep good form arms tucked in at 90 degrees all the time and a good technique is to touch ur thumb to ur chin, then back pocket. keeps ur arms at a good 90 angle…so just lift some weights and train stretch out good before races and see how u do

  9. LeeeSeann says:

When you sprint, are you supposed to have your front part of the foot touching the ground? Or the whole foot like jogging except sped up? I’ve been on relay team for many years now, but this one guy keeps beating me at my school. I try different ways of starting, leaning toward the finish line, but still he beats my by at most 2 seconds. Any tips anyone?

6 t0m0rr0w will? be y0ur best day ever

  11. WWMac says:

5-6 strides?? no way. unless your top speed is slow as crap. you may think ur at top speed bcuz ur legs are moving as fast as possible but your not making the distance. trust me, you wont actually get to top speed until maybe the 30-40m mark.

  12. trockey10015 says:

true that you should be at full speed after your first 5 or 6 strides welll a good runner at least

  13. woopa625 says:

Yeah peapodmaster, i’m sure he has no clue what he’s talking about. He’s never done this before. Not

  14. PearlFan4life says:

my coach teaches me to get to top speed fast, not by the “50 to 60m mark”

  15. tashman8 says:

myloveisyourhate, tyson gay; tense look, usain bolt; relaxed look…u make ur verdict mate..

  16. jspheyphey says:

no, your heels should never touch the ground, that will slow you down. you should be landing on the balls of your feet

  17. Trackstar987 says:

no no no, neevveerr run “slower” in the 100 meters. Blast out of the blocks as fast as you can and secure a place, then just run, and about 30m before the end, get ur ass in gear and go balls out

  18. cantelope456 says:

dont mean to sound ignorant but are your heels ever touching the ground??

  19. sweetsalami says:

k i think that he’s tryna say just be relax as your running because he doesn’t metnion that in order to keep your top speed you can’t drop your shoulders

  20. Turbo009x says:

No you run 100% from start to finish in any race. You wanna run relaxed and pump your arms. I like to say that if you pump your arms your legs will follow. The faster you pump your arms in a controlled motion you will be ok and do go. its all about your foot speed and turn over. your low heel recovery also.

  21. vandomVenom says:

okaay.. hey so 1st 50 meters right? i should run a lil bit slower than the next 50?

  22. zolalfredo says:

Maybe his explanation wasn’t as good. He is just trying to say, run relax, and not to tense up the upperbody, e.g. shoulder, neck and face. in the high speed phase which is from 50m up to 80m, your focus on the legs movement should be like a cycling motion. Maybe not using the word accelerate, it should be increasing the legs frequency in the high speed phase. Its simple, but not easy.

  23. DelaneyGurl says:

calm down dude dont watch it if you comment stupid crap like that people ork hard to make these vids
